You asked for some new features on our website, and we made them!
We’ve updated the red/yellow/green beach icons so they look more like the smartphone app. We have highlighted the difference between current or historical information. We also made a handy-dandy chart so you know what all the different icons mean.
We re-optimized the website for smaller/older computer monitors so everyone gets the optimal browsing experience.
We did some tinkering under the hood to make the location-sensor work better. When you visit www.theswimguide.org you should see the beaches closest to you automagically.
We also added some more resources to our electronic press kit to help the media tell the Swim Guide story.
Enjoy, and keep the suggestions coming!
Swim Guide shares the best information we have at the moment you ask for it. Always obey signs at the beach or advisories from official government agencies. Stay alert and check for other swimming hazards such as dangerous currents and tides. Please report your pollution concerns so Affiliates can help keep other beach-goers safe.
