The California Legislature recently passed a resolution to officially commemorate July 25th as Swimmable California Day. This resolution recognizes “Californians’ rights to coastal areas, beaches, estuaries, rivers, streams, and lakes that are clean and safe for swimming and other appropriate activities, and to encourage Californians to enjoy and use their waters.”

Celebrate with the California Coastkeeper Alliance and other water-loving organizations each July 25th. There is no better way to show how much you care for your local waters than by swimming, surfing, paddling, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, diving, floating and frolicking in the water you love.
