As the Northern Hemisphere braces for winter, the Southern Hemisphere begins to heat up, including the beautiful New Zealand.

It’s a familiar experience: tall trees shake off the crunchy, brown remnants of a long winter as vibrant green shoots begin to stretch their way towards the light. Birds and animals peek out of their burrows, tentatively testing their unused voices. Sleepy, fat insects shake off the long winter as they stretch their summer legs, buzzing lazily around young flowers basking in the coming warmth.

New Zealand is one of the most beautiful places on our planet this time of year.

The island has some of the most pristine water in the developed world.  The country is known for its enviable diving conditions and abundance of fresh water, along with its unique array of plants and animals scattered across the island.

It was almost a year ago that Pulse Energy NZ came on board with Swim Guide with the vision of sharing recreational water quality with kiwis and tourists alike. Now, at the start of their monitoring season, we’re thinking about their role with us – and how glad we are to have them on board.

The independent electricity and gas retailer is working hard to update and promote recreational water quality for over 600 (yes, 600) New Zealand beaches on our Swim Guide app and website.

This will be their second season on Swim Guide. As we wrap ourselves in another blanket, we kindly ask New Zealand to go take a swim – for us.
