Kamari 2

The Kamari beach, which is part of Thira's municipality, is located in an urban region and it is a tourist resort.The length of the beach is 2 (two) kilometers, whereas its width is 50(fifty) meters.

The beach is with sand and some parts with pebbles type of trees: sea trees .Around the beach, there are sport facilities and also car, bikes and bicycles are rented. Furthermore, there are hotels and rooms for hire. The ways to get to the beach are through the four main streets which are vertical to the beach, by car, buses, hired motorbikes or on foot.

Future environmental actions:

1. Cleaning up of the island beaches. 2. Trees planting. 3. Lectures, speeches with subject the environment. 4. Visit to biological stations of the region.5. Radio messages and television programs.6. Distribution of a guide with the different types of Greek fish in Kamari beach.
