The environment of the region of Nea Iraklitsa’s beach, that has east orientation, appears to be quite interesting from different points of view (ecological, geological-land, tourist, etc) and is characterized by its unique picturesqueness. This landscape includes a long distance of smooth sandy beaches, that are surrounded by rocky clusters where end all the around barrows. This creek is consisted by small islands that add to the picturesqueness of the sightseeing. At the west side of the beach, exist many hectars of small vegetation and moreover there is the expansion of Nea Iraklitsa’s built-up area. The existing vegetation is significant and there is a lot of interest not only for the cultivations and plants that grow in different farms and sites, but also for the law flowers, plants and bushes that grow on the beach and require protection and care. The fauna of the area is also quite interesting and includes a variety of creepers, fowl, fishes and insects, which contribute to the creation of an harmonically balanced ecosystem. The sea water is very clean and shallow; usually calm during the summer time and hence it is suggested for swimming, sea sports and fishing. The see breeze that frequentely blows in the area due to the location, conduces to the natural cooling of the area and the lessening of temperature during high heat periods.
