Little Island Park is a 144-acre beach park located next to the Atlantic Ocean, north of the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge. The park has an impressive 775 foot sand beach for surfing, 400 foot fishing pier (only service dogs are allowed on the pier) and a 2,000 foot beach for swimming and fishing south of the pier (permits required to fish when not on the pier). Back Bay, a brackish lake, provides excellent fishing and crabbing along the western border of this unique park.

Amenities include: Picnic Shelters, tennis / basketball / volleyball courts, beach volleyball area, children's playground, public restrooms and vending machines.

Seasonal Rental Items: umbrellas/chairs, tiki umbrellas and soft surf boards and access to a concession stand. Sports equipment can be checked out with official government ID.

Hours of Operation:
April 15th - October 31st: 5:30 am - 11:00 pm
November 1st - April 14th: 7:00 am - Posted Closing Time​

Lifeguards are on duty daily from 9:30 am - 6:00 pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

There is a small fee to use the pier and to park.
