About Island Lake Park
The Island Lake Park's 332 hectares of lake, wetland, forest and meadows play an important ecological role in protecting the headwaters of the Credit and Nottawasaga Rivers. The lake is rich in life with healthy fish and wildlife populations, and abundant underwater plants. The watersport options include fishing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and wading. The park rents watercrafts and ice fishing huts and is a popular wedding location.
Please note that as of 2017, there is no swimming allowed at this beach. It is no longer being monitored by the GRCA.
