Windy Hill Landing

Windy Hill Landing offers visitors to the Trappe area a public landing, small swimming beach, and a fantastic place to watch sunsets on the Choptank River.

The dock facilities are suitable for small boats only. This site is closed from 11 pm to 4 am. Canoes and kayaks can launch from the sandy beach. It is also an excellent place for fishing and crabbing.

SOURCE INFORMATION

Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy utilizes the standardized EPA criteria of 104 cfu/100 ml for collecting and analyzing water samples. Water samples are collected every month. Results are posted as soon as lab results are available. Results will be communicated through the swim guide app. Results tables are available by email or by calling Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy at 443 385 0511.

A beach is marked Green when single sample results are under 104 Enterococcus / 100 ML water.

A beach is marked Red when the results are equal to or above 104 Enterococcus / 100 ML water. If a sample exceeds the standard the site is retested the following week.

A beach is marked Grey when there are no current results or there is no available information.
