Amager Strandpark Nord

Danish below Amager Strandpark is Copenhagen's largest beach just 5 km from the center. Amager Strandpark has a lagoon, city park and lots of activities all year round. The beach is a sandy beach with a sandy bottom. The beach is facing the Sound and borders the Municipality of Tårnby on the southern part. The bathing water beach area has a length of 4.6 km and is 400 m in the widest place. The water depth is approx. 1.5 m deep until 30 m from shore. After 30 m from shore, the water depth changes to 3-4 m deep. The lagoon has a water depth of 2 m at the deepest point. The water is salt. The water flow is weak to strong, predominantly from the north and south. Amager Strand is open all year round, but there are only lifeguards from June 23 to August 31, at. 10: 00-18: 00. Helgoland's bathhouse, located north-east of Amager Strand, is available to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week from May 1st to 1 October 1st. Helgoland will be manned by lifeguards during the same period and time, as is the case with Amager Strand. The risk of blue-green algae is considered to be small. Vandet er salt. Vandstrømmen er svag til stærk, overvejende fra nordlig og sydlig retning. Amager Strand er åben hele året, men der er kun livreddere fra 23. juni til 31. august, kl. 10:00-18:00. Helgoland Søbadeanstalt, der ligger nordligst på Amager Strand, vil være tilgængelig for offentligheden døgnet rundt, alle ugens dage fra 1. maj til 1. oktober. Helgoland vil være bemandet med livreddere i samme periode og tidsrum, som det er tilfældet med Amager Strand. Risiko for blågrønalger vurderes at være lille. Risiko for fytoplanktonvækst og makroalger vurderes at være lille.
