About Bay Springs Ramp
This remote boat ramp is located at the end of a County Road on the Western side of Weiss Lake, the "Crappie Capitol of the World." This basic ramp has decent parking but no other amenities.

Samples are collected by trained CRBI Swim Guide staff weekly (each Thursday) from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Results are analyzed and published each Friday here and at coosa.org.
A test does not meet water quality standards when a presumptive E. coli level has an EPA Beach Action Value higher than 235 MPN/100ml. At this level, EPA estimates that more than 8 out of 1000 swimmers could become ill.
