About Osso da Baleia
The beach Osso da Baleia is located in the Mata Nacional do Urso, in the parish of Carriço, belonging to the town hall of Pombal. The name of this beach has its origins in the beginning of the twentieth century, due to a whale skeleton that, according to oral testimonies, appeared in the coast at this beach.
It is a perfect place for those who enjoy hiking, fishing, doing body board, surfing, practicing beach volleyball, as well as for those who appreciate the natural beauty of a beach, namely, sand, dunes, flora and fauna.
