About Laurel Creek Conservation
Located on the edge of Waterloo, Laurel Creek reservoir is a popular destination for windsurfing, hiking, and birdwatching. There is a single sandy beach (unsupervised and with a steep drop-off; parents, please be advised) on the reservoir including several picnic shelters, which can be booked by families, corporate groups, etc. Washrooms are available and equipped with flush toilets and hot showers. Motorized boats are not permitted. Fishing is also possible (some recommend trying the discharge channel past the dam instead of the reservoir). The reservoir contains several underwater tree stumps that may be an obstacle to windsurfers and sailboats. Camping and hiking are also available.
