Fão-Ofir

Ofir Beach is located south of the Cávado river, in the village of Fão. It is a sandy beach that is the start of a shoal of sand that develops to the north and makes the separation between the river and the sea. The accessibility is good quality and orderly parking exists along the avenue of access to the beach and there is a large parking next to the Towers and the Hotel Ofir. Vicinity of the beach is a dune system protected by spurs and embankments and also the Ofir pine forest. This beach is part of the Natural Park of Litoral North.
From this beach it can be sighted a few outcrops larger so-called "Horses of Fão".
