Årvolldammen is a swimming pond in the district of Bjerke. It is builta as a diversion pond in "Hovinbekken" and is filled in the summer with fresh stream water. The bottom is asphalted and it has a depth that makes it optimal to learn to swim here. It has good bus connections to the rest of the city. There are showers, toilets and shops in the immediate vicinity. There is also a playground and several sports facilities in the immediate vicinity. Very child-friendly.
