Bloody Bay est échantillonné Other de November 1st à October 31st.
Located on the leeward coast, Bloody Bay is accessible either via the Northside road or through the Main Ridge Forest Reserve connecting from the Windward Road. The name Bloody Bay is given to both the village and the beach. Named after the legendary sea battle in the 17th century that was so fierce, it turned the sea blood red.
Some say the battle was between the English against a combined Dutch and French fleet, others claimed that it was a battle between plantation owners and slaves.
Bloody Bay beach is a 320m (approx.) secluded beach with a mixture of rocky shoreline and fine brown sand. It is a less frequented beach that is shared with the local fishermen. Clearly visible from the shore and 5km out to sea, is the famous Sisters Rocks forming an attractive cluster islet, an exceptional dive spot.
The available amenities include toilets, showers, restaurant and eating area, art shop, lifeguard facility and picnic benches.
There is no major source of pollution except runoff from the Bloody Bay river at the north end of the bay that services nearby agricultural land.
