Laguna Beach-Shaw's Cove/Divers Cove

A beautiful little beach off the beaten path. Prime location for local scuba diving and snorkeling. There are no amenities on site, but there are amenities at Crescent Cove just north of the beach. To access these amenities one must walk back up to the road and then across the peninsula to the northwest. Access to Shaw's Cove is off of Fairview Street and Cliff Drive. Descend the stairs in between private residences and be mindful or your noise early in the morning or late at night. Street parking is available, but dropping off any gear at the top of the stairs is recommended. Reminders: There is a 3-day rain advisory after each rain storm, use caution as bacteria levels can increase during this period. The County Environmental Health staff advises swimmers that levels of bacteria can rise significantly in ocean and bay waters adjacent to storm drains, creeks and rivers. Swimmers should avoid coastal waters impacted by discharging storm drains creeks and rivers, and beach users should avoid contact with any runoff on the beach during dry or wet weather conditions. As an extra precaution remain 500 ft away on either side from any outfalls.
