Acerca de Hwy 140 Ramp

This rural boat ramp provides access to the Oostanaula River between Calhoun and Rome. It's the perfect take-out for a long float starting at the Hwy 156 Ramp. There are no other amenities other than river access and plenty of paved parking.

Samples are collected by trained CRBI Swim Guide staff weekly (each Thursday) from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Results are analyzed and published each Friday here and at coosa.org. A test does not meet water quality standards when a presumptive E. coli level has an EPA Beach Action Value higher than 235 MPN/100ml. At this level, EPA estimates that more than 36 out of 1000 swimmers could become ill.
