Poça

This beach is located on the side of the Marginal road, from where it is possible to see the Forte de S. João da Cadaveira and the Forte Velho.The cliff and the Fort of S. João da Cadaveira, located on it, along with an imposing summer house, dominate the setting to the east. To the west, beyond the Forte Velho, is the building of the former Baths of Poça, current holiday colony.Next to this beach there is also a stream, called Ribeira da Cadaveira.Due to its size and calm sea, it is a very appealing beach for families with children, but it is also very popular with surfers between autumn and spring, when the sea is more favorable for surfing. It is also classified as an accessible beach for people with reduced mobility.During the bathing season it is a guarded and signposted beach and has a Medical/First Aid Station.
