Moinho de Baixo - Meco

With rough and clear waters, Moinho de Baixo Beach is located in Aldeia do Meco, on the west coast of Sesimbra. With an extension of 1850 meters this type 3 beach has a sandy and dunic morphology.

During summer time the occupation level is very high.

Various equipment and services, like beach surveillance, water sports, restaurants, bars, beach library, tourist office, public telephone, among others, are available to visitors during summer time.

The quality of the sea water is good, with a temperature that varies from 12º to 14º in winter and from 15º to 16º in summer.

In the village centre, there are many restaurants where you can enjoy tasteful gastronomy. Seafood dishes will delight the most demanding.

During summer time, Sesimbra cheers up with several music shows and other events. It is also possible to visit our finest monuments like the Castle or Cabo Espichel.
