This beach is enclosed with a cliff in the east side, and an amphitheatre of white houses on the north, on the west side you can access the beach by the centre of the old town through Av. 25 de Abril. The parking is a cylindrical shape car park, known as P5. The beach was named originally due to the many small fishing boats that were once there and in our days they take shelter at the Porto de Abrigo (harbour).
