The Mareta Beach has a very long sandy beach which reduces to a remarkably thin strip, during high tide. It is located in full Bay of Sagres. It is bounded by the Ponta da Atalaia. The Far West, if the tower and walls of Sagres or Fortress of Sagres, at the top of the Ponta de Sagres. This beach is frequented for diving enthusiasts. The access is made by the National Highway 268, crossing the village of Sagres to extreme south.
