Praia Grande with its long sandy beach has well-conserved natural surroundings, assuming special relief a set of fossils structures dunes, with approximately three a thousand years. With the Salgados Lagoon alongside, Praia Grande is an excellent site for bird watching, especially of species such as the flamingo and the egret.
