The south-facing Playa de Maspalomas adjoins the east-facing Playa del Inglés at the Punta de Maspalomas. At the western end of Playa de Maspalomas is La Charca lagoon and Light House of Maspalomas. Farther west beyond this is the rocky Playa de Las Mujeres. The dunes of Maspalomas can be reached by walking through a large arched entrance on Avenida de Tirajana.

The Maspalomas bus station at the end of Avenida Cristobal Colon close to the lighthouse: buses and taxis from here go to Playa del Inglés and other resorts and towns in south of Gran Canaria.
