El Cortecito Occidental Punta Cana

El Cortecito Beach at Occidental is a sandy beach in La Altagracia, Dominican Republic and it's considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world according to UNESCO.

El Cortecito beach is one of the most popular beaches in the Punta Cana – Bavaro area, its belong to “La costa del coco” a uninterrupted sandy coastal line of about forty kilometer. Thousands and thousands of persons came to this beach daily looking for fun and relax in this tropical paradise.

The beach have four common information boards with all relevant information, like beach map, bath water quality, sensitive areas nearby, conduct code, environmental activities, emergency plan, etc. The beach is located near of the Bávaro Lagoon, East National Park at the East of Dominican Republic and can be reached by vehicles that have to be parked at the parking zone, 500 mts away from the coastal zone and it can be accessed too through footpaths from hotels of the zone.

The lifeguard schedule is 9:00 am to 06:00 pm, there are also lifesaving equipment, sports, renting and accommodation facilities available the whole year, and it’s a resort beach. The beach is equipped with easy access for handicapped people.
