The coast of Asprovalta is located at the center of the coastal zone of theStrymonikos Gulf, east of the Peninsula of Mount Athos.
It is an extensive coast with clean white sand located at the sea in front of the touristic resort of Asprovalta, approximately 3km in length and 200m in width.
Tourists can be served by hundreds of shops while the fish taverns and the restaurants satisfy every taste and preference.
The modern hotels, thousands of rental rooms, the picturesque guesthouses and campsites offer a carefree, low budget and comfortable stay.
At the beach, visitors can enjoy the pleasures of the sea by doing several marine sports.
The intense cultural life of the Municipality is heightened during the summer season with theatrical performances, concerts, traditional dances and folk music nights.
The Information Center for the coastal area of Strymonikos Gulf and the Gulf ofIerissos can accommodate the interests of the daily trippers.
At the greater region of Asprovalta there are car, motorcycle and bicycle rentals.
The notable archaeological sites of neighboring areas, like Amphipoli, Philippi,Stagira and Mount Athos, give visitors the opportunity to take day trips.
The coast is located between the cities of Kavala and Thessaloniki and specifically 80 km from the “Macedonia” Airport of Thessaloniki, while the visitors can also use the public transport.
