Korinos

The swimming beach of Korinos is located in the coast of Thermaikos Gulf   and is away from the town of Katerini only 11 km. The beach consists a west coastal section of a total   length 16.850 m open bay. Its access is extremely easy and it can be   approached through the provincial road network either via the National Highway (Thessaloniki-Athens)   or   the city of Katerini. The traffic signs which are clearly positioned make travelling even easier.

This   beach has a total length of 1.200 m, an average width of 50 m and a east orientation. Both the coastal zone as the seabed are sandy. Bathing water in the first meters is shallow, with a slight slope.

Korinos is rewarded for years with the "Blue Flag" and the bathing water quality is characterized as « Excellent water quality ». The area’s biodiversity and it’ s efficient tourist infrastructure provides a cosmopolitan environment with high quality services.

The unique landscapes and the mountain- sea combination impress any visitor. Modern hotels, taverns, restaurants with good food and night clubs   will   make your vacation more comfortable.

The beach is well organized with equipped facilities   such as umbrellas and sun beds whose operation comes from catering outlets   near the seabed. Moreover, they have toilets, toilets for disabled, bins and waste baskets, changing rooms, showers, volleyball court and lifeguards for the safety of bathers. The coast is mainly used for swimming and the maximum number of swimmers is estimated at 3.000 people.
