About Prainha (Madeira)
Prainha is one of the most fascinatingly unique beaches on the Island. The small cove, hidden among the hills is made up of natural sand blown down from the dunes.
The peculiarity of Prainha starts with getting there, which involves a short 100-metre walk, surrounded by geological formations, down to the shore. It was not by chance that Prainha was considered a Geosite and a favourite among local beachgoers that appreciate the tranquillity. The beach is free of charge and has facilities like a snack bar, showers, toilets, and changing rooms.
