Poças da Ribeira Grande

The Poças municipal swimming pool complex is located in the city of Ribeira Grande, in the parish of Matriz, facing north and bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. It is a mixed bathing area because in addition to the three pools it also has a beach area with natural sand.The largest pool is 25 meters long, 20 wide and has a depth that varies between 1.2 and 2 meters. In addition to this, there is one with heels, one for children and one for babies (the only one with fresh water).Between the pools there is an area of ​​sand that offers direct connection to the sea, thus allowing greater diversity for bathers. It is protected by the pier to shelter the bathing complex.This is an infrastructure equipped with two support bars, an elevator for transporting people with special care, a wide range of solariums, recreational areas, changing rooms, toilets, freshwater outdoor showers, bar and restaurant service, medical office, changing rooms and sunbeds hire.
