The beach of Calheta, is located at the western tip of the Porto Santo island, about 6 km from the city center and offers a spectacular view of the islet of “Baixo” or of “Cal”. It is a rocky beach, however there is the presence of the golden sand that characterizes all bathing areas of the island and which are recognized therapeutic properties. The climate is dry and stable, with reduced thermal variation between seasons. The bath support structures include shower, toilets including for the handicapped and first aid station.
