The Tonel Beach features a very extensive sandy beach. It is located at the beginning of the west side of the Ponta de Sagres, on top of which rise the tower and walls of Sagres, more known as the Fortress of Sagres. In the northern zone, about 70 meters from the coast, there is an ISLET. The beach is located within the territory of the Sagres Biogenetic Reserve. In the distance, it is possible to see the Cabo de São Vicente. The access is made by the National Highway 268.
