Tavira’s Island is a beach type II, according to the POOC. Inserted in the area of natural park, it is characterized by its long sands. In the beach there are 2 bars in order to give support to the beach by renting umbrellas. As the name implies, it is located on a barrier island. A part of the island facing with the Atlantic Ocean and the other with the Ria Formosa, overlooking the city of Tavira. On Tavira’s island there is a camping park and a picnic area beyond several bars and restaurants that offer a pleasant stay for all visitors.
