As the name indicates it is a bathing area bounded by rocky structures that form natural pools. The zone is situated in the parish of monasteries, on the north coast of the Island of S. Miguel and constitutes the northern boundary of the parish. The GEOMORPHOLOGY of puddles only includes basaltic rock structures resulting from the former eruption of the volcano of the Seven Cities. It is a quiet and silent, as a result of incorporating a rural parish, characterized by its mild climate throughout the year.
