Milícias

The beach of Milícias is situated in the parish of S. Roque, municipality of Ponta Delgada, being bounded to the north by the Regional Road, this by a rural building and to the west by houses. It is a black sand beach, of volcanic origin, vast expanse and straight profile, as you can see in the picture.

The infrastructures of support to the beach include a vast pedestrian promenade and garden, to the north, a restaurant/snack bar, showers and changing rooms and two large parking areas, located to the east and west of the beach. The locker rooms and the bar are only in operation during the bathing season.
