Marina da Horta

Horta´s marina is the main harbour of the Azores and the fourth most visited marina in the world. Its location offers an excellent shelter against the winds from any direction and makes it an almost compulsory scale for all yachts in route from the Caribbean to the Med. Horta is also the venue to many international regattas, such as Les Sables - Les Azores - Les Sables, Vannes – Les Açores – Vannes, Portsmouth – Horta, Route des Hortensia, ARC Europe and many others.
Horta´s marina is located in front of Horta and consists of two basins with a total capacity of approximately 300 yachts. Annually there are about 1,250 scale yachts, of which 20% have a length exceeding 18 m, with more than 5,000 crew members, from different nationalities, yet the prevailing English and French nationalities. The Marina is also used by approximately 120 local boats and boats related to maritime tourism activities. Horta Marina helds the European Blue Flag since 1987.
