Cíes island, Ons, Sálvora and Cortegada were included in the declaration of national marine-land park of the Atlantic island of Galicia by law 15/2002, in July. Furthermore, Ons archipelago and the other island included in the park are considered a landscape of community interost. The national marine-land park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia is located in a natural landscape linked to the sea and it is known for its extraordinary biodiversity and wide variety of ecosystems.
