Beach of Bābelītis lake is one of the oldest and most popular inland swimming areas of the city of Riga, located in the suburb of Vidzeme. The lake was formed in a natural, drainless area between the dunes of Jugla, which is surrounded by forest. The relatively short distance to the city center, easily accessible public transport, a well-equipped swimming area and the surrounding forest area provide suitable recreational functions for vacationers.
During the swimming season, there are ensured swimming area rescue service's operations, and available first aid and rescue equipment. There are three swimming areas, fenced off with buoys, and a children's swimming area. The swimming pool is equipped with changing cabins, rest benches, transferable sanitary facilities, children's playgrounds and volleyball courts.
