Swim Guide checks the Ohio BeachGuard System daily for E. coli postings and the Ohio EPA Harmful Algae Bloom advisory website for postings. http://epa.ohio.gov/habalgae.aspx A beach is marked Green when a single sample shows enterococci counts below 235 units/ 100 ml of water. A beach is marked Red when a single sample shows enterococci counts above 200 units/ 100 ml or when Harmful Algae Blooms are confirmed at the beach. A beach is marked Grey when reliable or up-to-date information is not available.
