About Salema
Praia da Salema has a very extensive sandy, with approximately 1.1 km away. It is located in front of the village of Salema. This area is known for the archaeological vestiges of fossilized dinosaur footprints. Near here, on 18 August 1759, was sunk the french ship named Océan, of which some ruins still remain at the bottom of the sea. The beach access is made along the Municipal Road 537.
