The beach of Made is located on the north coast of Crete, 20 km northwest of the city of Heraklion and 1.5 km east of the Lygaria ecosystem. To the right of the coast is the northern Cape Trypiti.The coastal zone is sandy and parallel there are rock formations at the edges. Correspondingly and in the bottom of the coast we observe the same characteristics. The coastal zone is altered due to the existing palm tree cluster planted around the coast.The bathing coast is the coastal part of a closed bay 70 meters long. The coast that occupies the entire bay, has an average width of 20m. and north orientation. The bathing waters in the first meters are of normal depth and the slope of the bottom is mild. Access to the beach takes place by road through the road connecting Heraklion with the settlement of Agia Pelagia and through our hotel CHC Athina Palace Resort & Spa 5* whose facilities extend from the coast to almost the northern road axis.
The beach is organized and has umbrellas, deck chairs, showers, bins and waste baskets. Pets are allowed on the beach and the maximum number of bathers is estimated at 250 people.
