About Gaspereau River
The Gaspereau River swim spot in Port Elgin is located upstream of the Route 970 Bridge, within the village on Main Street, near many residential and retail buildings. This site is used frequently for swimming, boating and fishing. This location is tidally influenced as it is
near the mouth of the river, where it empties into the Northumberland Strait.
