Located in the parish of Carvoeira, the beach of Foz do Lizandro presents a considerable extension, being the largest beach in the municipality of Mafra. On the southern side, the beach accompanies the Lizandro River, which flows into the Ocean.
More than a summer resort this beach is a true leisure destination, with modern bars and restaurants, with indoor and outdoor seating, which mitigate the seasonal nature in the use of this beach.
This structure is located on an inviting elevated boardwalk, parallel to the front of river / sea and equipped with a diversity of elements, such as garden benches, waste-paper bins, recyclable waste material receptacles and lighting.
This elevated boardwalk also provides access to a broad parking facility, which has specific areas for loading and unloading, descending and collection of passengers and stop for public transportation.
It is equipped with beach accessibility conditions for people with reduced mobility, having been awarded the prize "Accessible Beach".
