Badalona is situated 10 Km far from Barcelona by road C-3, B-20, and N-II, as well as by train line Barcelona - Mataró. The train station is quite close to the beach.The area known as Pescadors has been awarded with Blue Flag. There is also a Blue Flag centre in the municipality called Escola de Mar where there is a library on marine biology, many conferences are held and also workshops for scholar groups.
