Since its inauguration in 1970, Puerto Banús has been one of the most attractive national and international luxury tourist destinations for lovers of shopping, water sports and outdoor activities on the beach. It is not unusual from time to time to see a celebrity or famous person strolling through the streets of the port and enjoying a day's shopping in the most exclusive shops in the world.
With more than four million visitors a year and having been awarded the Gold Medal for Tourist Merit, Puerto Banús is also one of the Costa del Sol's major entertainment centers, capable of hosting numerous events and celebrations that bring Marbella to life and allow the town to be present throughout the year both in the media and in the minds of tourists and locals alike.
Puerto Banús is committed to working hard to become one of the best ports in terms of environmental responsibility and preservation of the oceans, changing habits and incorporating new measures that allow both visitors and employees to preserve our facilities and our environment. It is part of our values and our philosophy.
Puerto Banús has therefore initiated a work plan to protect the planet's natural resources, committing itself to the United Nations 2030 agenda and complying with the 17 established Goals.
Due to our business activity, we have chosen to increase our efforts in the following territories as part of this SDG Implementation and Compliance Plan: Protection of the Oceans, Biodiversity, Responsible consumption, Pollution reduction.
