About Puerto Deportivo de Ayamonte
Ayamonte is a city in the most westerly point of Andalucía. It is situated 60kms. west of the capital of the province, on the motorway that joins Seville with Faro. It is next to the Guadiana river mouth, on the border with Portugal. Ayamonte is a town with a great commercial and fishing tradition. Currently it has more than 16.000 inhabitants. In the surrounding countryside you will find areas of stunning natural beauty and great ecological value, such as the marshlands of the Rivers Carreras and Piedras. A stop in this port is a must for those who wish to sail up river to Sanlúcar de Guadiana, a village situated 12 miles to the north.
