Arena Gorda Iberostar

Arena Gorda Complejo Iberostar Bavaro is a sandy beach in La Altagracia, Dominican Republic. The lifeguard schedule is 9:00 am to 06:00 pm, there are also lifesaving equipment, sports, renting and accommodation facilities available the whole year, and it’s a resort beach. The beach is equipped with easy access for handicapped people.

The beach have four common information boards with all relevant information, like beach map, bath water quality, sensitive areas nearby, conduct code, environmental activities, emergency plan, etc.

The Arena Gorda beach is one of the wider beaches in Punta Cana, which likely the inspiration for its name. Arena Gorda, when directly translated, means Fat Sand. Wide and glorious, this beach slopes gently down to the sea. The water is calm and shallow.

The beach is located near of the Bávaro Lagoon, East National Park at the East of Dominican Republic and can be reached by vehicles that have to be parked at the parking zone, 300 mts away from the coastal zone and it can be accessed too through footpaths from hotels of the zone. The length of the beach is approximately of 1,000 meters.
