Bluff Cove is a rocky surfer’s cove located in Palos Verdes Estates. There is a parking lot on Paseo del Mar, from which the beach is a short walk down a dirt road. The waves can accommodate surfers of all levels and there are three surf spots – Little Reef, Boneyards and Middles – each with a different type of break. Middles is the most popular, especially amongst longboarders, and has the most consistent waves year-round. There are also hiking opportunities with beautiful views such as the six-mile roundtrip hike from Bluff Cove to Malaga Cove.
Keep your distance from other people.
Practicing social distancing is still essential. Only go to the beach if you are able to keep 6 feet or 2 meters away from others. Follow the instructions provided by your local health authorities. If your community has asked that you remain indoors and away from others, do so. Spending a day in any crowded place is the worst thing we can do for our most vulnerable right now and will counter our efforts to curb the virus’s spread.
