About Hagens Cove
As of 2012, this site is no longer monitored. Hagen’s Cove is one of the five units that comprise Big Bend Wildlife Management Area. State owned and maintained, nature surrounds visitors as they enter the Tide Swamp along the Gulf of Mexico. Grass flats and shallow waters support nature studies and wildlife viewing. Onsite amenities include picnic pavilions, hiking trails and an observation tower. Taylor County is known for its prime birding. For more information, please call 850-584-5366.
