Named after an early local hotelier who buried then "found" his own treasure for publicity, Treasure Island remains a fun beach for visiting families. Popular among tourists, local businesses include beach themed restaurants, beach supply shops, and large hotels. Many beach related activities are available, such as fishing, shelling, boating, and jet skiing. Treasure Island has a few small metered beach access points, however most visitors to this beach are hotel or condo guests. Public washrooms are available along the beach.
