Willoughby Spit peninsula is surrounded by 3 bodies of water. This beach is on Chesapeake Bay, just off the Atlantic Ocean with Hampton Roads to the west and Willoughby Bay to the south. This sandy beach is known to have varying levels of salt water due to it's proximity to the ocean and various rivers. Chesapeake Bay is known to have over 300 species of fish and is incredibly popular for fishing as well as swimming.
