Chattahoochee River @ Medlock Bridge

Norcross, Georgia

E.coli samples are collected each week by the National Park Service. The sampling site is located at Medlock Bridge Road near the top of the 48-mile Chattahoochee National Recreation Area (CRNRA) along the Chattahoochee River. The area around Medlock Bridge Road used less frequently than other areas of the CRNRA due to lack of shoals trails along the river, but people do fish and boat. A few miles downstream is the National Park Service's Jones Bridge Unit, which is very heavily used by picnickers, waders, hikers, and dog-walkers.

Tests are taken weekly and results are updated to Swim Guide each Friday
